We are so thrilled to have this piece in by crushable fashion designer, Bonnie Cashin. Beginning in the 1930's, Cashin's career extended far and wide- from designing costumes for the New York City Ballet, to being hired as Coach's first designer. She is often credited for coining the term "layering" which we of course, love. What's more, this concept was deeply influenced by her time as a young girl living near San Francisco's Chinatown, which is where I grew up.
