I spent the last week in the Bay Area, seeing old friends, visiting with my family, and celebrating my sweet niece's 5th grade promotion. What a time! 

As is typical on my visits home, my Dad and I went for a couple of long drives. Here are some highlights of our time hitting the old spots in and around the Bay Area:

I made a trip to the Midwest this past week, and had the time of my life. I hadn't been to Minneapolis in probably a dozen years (my husband grew up there), but had always said it'd be a city I could definitely live in.

When we arrived on the island, the weather was still surprisingly warm and humid but by the time we made it to the east coast, the weather had turned into a classic, cool and moody fall.

There was a day last week, when the sky parted and BLUE and GREEN permeated everything in sight. I took advantage of a day off, and took myself to couple of my favorite places.
